The final project of my upper-level Audio Production course taken in Spring 2024 is the Five Minute Aircheck Project. This project is a alternative music mock-genre of WMCO to showcase my voice, my broadcast writing, and editing skills in Adobe Audition. I wrote and produced commercials for made-up companies and business such as Roxie’s Records.
“Linda’s Keys to Academic Success” is a podcast hosted by Linda Hatfield, Muskingum University’s Educational Support Specialist. Hatfield talks with guests about topics such as finding your path through different academic challenges in college. I was the director for episode three of season three, and I learned how to be in charge of a production such as producing a podcast and working with a client.
For episode two of season three of “Linda’s Keys to Academic Success,” I was the editor. I was able to learn more about Adobe Audition through hands-on experience such as how to fade in and out of music, how to select and adjust specific parts of audio, and the basics of assembling a multitrack.
I wrote and recorded a sweeper for Muskingum University Chapel Services for WMCO using DAD (Digital Audio Delivery) radio automation system. This sweeper showcases what I have learned from Broadcast Writing and Reporting and the skills that I have gained as a DJ at WMCO.
